CRESTED BUTTE 2024





On August 3, 2024 we visited Crested Butte Colorado, the wildflower capital of the world and drove over Cottonwood Pass and on to Leadville for the Great Burro Race.

Celebrating Joannes birthday!



Crested Butte had an Art and Craft show going on.



The entire downtown was decorated with live flowers.



We drove Gothic Road to Gothic Mountain.



The wildflowers were past their peak but still beautiful.



We were surrounded with the beauty of nature.



We leave for Leadville by way of Cottonwood Pass.



Near the summit was a huge reservoir named Cottonwood Lake.



The entire drive was extremely scenic.



At the Summit we cross the Continental Divide.



Arriving at Leadville at the finish line of the Great Burro Race.



The kids loved the Burros.



Nearing the finish line the Burro's decided to stop the race.
