Crested Butte, Colorado claims to be the wildflower capital of the world.

Our visit there was on July 16, 17, 2025.

Prior Crested Butte Visits

The Umbrella Bar is at the summit of Mount Crested Butte.

The area around the bar was covered with wildflowers.

The ski lift next to the Umbrella bar.

There were flowers everywhere.

Homes on the side of the mountain had tremendous views.

Species of Black Eyed Susan
named Hymenoxys Hoopesii.

There was Larkspar.

From Slate River Rd. the
river valley to the south.

This area had more of
a variety of flowers.

Dinner at the Old Minor Steakhouse in Gunnison.

Gunnison had street entertainment.
