mt morrison hike

On April 30, 2024 we hiked Mt Morrison west of the Red Rocks Amphitheater.

The hike was 3.2 miles and went from 5,915' to 7,149' for a vertical rise of 1,234'.

We did not get to the summit as it was late and very steep with many loose rocks.

The trail was rocky and steep
with no switchbacks.

We had ravens for company.

Some trees managed to survive
the east facing slope.

At about half way we get a good
view of the Amphitheater.
