LUXEMBOURG 2

On our trip to Luxembourg the first two days had pouring rain amounting to 47cm or 16" of rain. There were over 100 people that died across the area.

On this very rainy day we start with our lunch in Viaden. It was raining hard. Note the water from the water spout across the river.

The view from the river near the restaurant. This city had evacuations the next day.

We drove back to Luxembourg city through a downpour of rain. This photo was taken at a better time. Susan did an amazing job of driving us safely.

From the bridge we crossed to go to eat. The water went up 2 feet while we were eating. This was the night before the flooding.

The bridge was blocked off the next evening. Note the flooding at the restaurant we ate at.

The river looking upriver. The homes were flooded.

The river at the bridge with the restaurant owner looking out the window.

Homes that flooded had damaged goods out to be picked up by the trash man.

The same river showing debris that
marked how high the water got.
