HAWAII 2000





In February 2000 we visited Hawaii. It started with a visit to Craig's mother who was staying in Hilo Hawaii. We drove around the island with her. We next went to Maui and drove the road to Hana and a hike to the Waimoku Falls. We stayed in Lanai for 3 nights and then went to Kauai and Oahu. We drove the coast roads around all 3 islands and then went by bus on Oahu. All photos are from film.

On 02/12/00 we arrive in Hilo.



We meet Mom at her
rental home in Hilo.



We visit the Hilo Farmer's Market.

On the 13th we start our drive around the island of Hawaii. We first visit the Volcano NP.

On the 14th we tour a coffee plantation and a Botanical garden near Hilo before flying out.



We fly to Maui and start
with a Luau.

Maui has a canyon area
called Iao Valley.



It is known for fog. We were very lucky to have a clear day.

Maui has many beautiful beaches.
