clear creek canyon park (west side)





In 2021 a new 2 mile section was added to the beautiful pathway along the Clear Creek near Goldon. This section takes the path from downtown Golden to the 2nd tunnel along Highway 6.

From the east parking lot you first cross the creek.

The trail at first follows on the south side of the creek.



The mountain tops along the pathway are 500' cliffs.



There are huge boulders that have fallen from the cliffs.



The pathway is landscaped with large boulders.



On the left is the chute which was used to bring water to Golden.



At 2 miles we come to a bridge.

An explanation of the water flume converted into a trail.



The Welch Ditch Trail uses the former flume used for water.



The remains of a car was along the flume.



We look down at the trail and creek.
